Sambo lives with his father and mother, named Black Jumbo and Black Mumbo respectively. Sambo encounters four hungry tigers. He gives them his colourful new clothes, shoes and umbrella to not eat him. Tigers are vain and think that they are better dressed than others. They have a massive argument and take off like rocket boosters into a space of chum (clarified butter). Sambo goes home and his dad collects the grease, which his mom uses to make pancakes.
